On His 100th Birthday, We Commemorated Him with Love, Respect and Longing

August 18, 2024 is the 100th birthday of Ahmet Nevzat Özgörkey, who founded our companies and made

valuable contributions to many well-established institutions of Turkish industry.

Nevzat Bey is one of the representatives of the entrepreneurial generation of the Republic Era, which is characterized by the determination and moral standards, and he loved to create new things and add value to the lives of those around him. The members of this generation, whose influence on our way of life continues to this day, made it a part of their character raising the standards of the community in which they lived, protecting and caring for their friends and employees, standing behind their promises at all costs, achieving better, humility and gentlemanliness an integral part of their character.

Nevzat Özgörkey was known for his versatile personality. While laying the foundations of industrial enterprises that were among the first in Türkiye, he showed great love to his family. He developed himself in every field with a never-ending love of learning amidst his busy work schedule. He tried to devote as much time as possible to handicrafts, painting, playing the violin and horseback riding.

On the occasion of his 100th birthday, we would like to commemorate Nevzat Özgörkey and keep his memory alive through the companies he founded and whose values he upheld, through the principles he instilled in his community, and through the Nevzat Özgörkey Environment and Water Foundation, which was established in his name to spread his passion for horseback riding and water awareness.
